Stitching is near to my heart, having learned the art and tradition of hand embroidery from my mom and her mom. It fills me with Love, Calm, and Joy to use these two hands and these very humble materials to preserve your memories with needle & thread.

I cherish (read: am obsessed with) the generational history of crafting, of women gathering in community to make beautiful things with their own hands - sometimes out of necessity or financial reasons, sometimes just for fun or time together, and very, very often as a political act.

In mending and stitching, I find a way to slow down and return to the fundamentals, practicing the art of meditation, concentration, and repetition that opens space for reflective quiet. Out of this quiet emerges a story, stitch by stitch, to be hung on your wall as a reminder of your own family’s stories, history, and heritage.

Your memories and the preservation of same are priceless y’all, priceless. I live to capture them with the very same stitches that our great-great-great-great-greatest grandmothers used and taught us.
